Sony HVR-Z1U &
HDR-FX1
The Sony HVR-Z1U professional camcorder shoots brilliant
High Definition 1080i pictures with jaw-dropping detail,
color and clarity, and comes equipped with a Carl Zeiss
Vario-Sonnar T 12X zoom lens - the same glass and coating
as in Zeiss prime lenses.
The
HVR-Z1U camcorder adopts the all-new, 1/4-inch HD format - the
HDV 1080i specification of the HDV format. Combined with three
high-resolution 1/3-inch type mega pixel CCDs, the HVR-Z1U
captures and plays back 1080i HD signals, while maintaining the
DVCAM/DV recording and playback capabilities provided on
current Sony DVCAM models. What's more, the HVR-Z1U offers a
down-conversion capability of its 1080i recordings. These
features allow the HVR-Z1U to be active immediately in current
SD systems, while also providing a step-by-step migration to
the HD world - operators can continue to acquire in DVCAM or
DV, and switch to the HDV as needed, or acquire in HDV 1080i
from the start and use the down-conversion capability as
required. In addition to a unique camcorder body design and
with its multitude of camera features, the HVR-Z1U offers
maximum operability in the field, as well as opening up a new
range of opportunities for creative shooting.
Combining these features with the HD
picture quality that HDV format provides, the HVR-Z1U
becomes an exciting acquisition tool for a variety of
applications today and tomorrow - from video journalism,
wedding and event videography, corporate and training
productions, and digital movie-making, up to broadcast
newsgathering. Offered at a price
tag comparable to Sony DVCAM camcorders, the HVR-Z1U paves
the way into cost-effective but uncompromised HD program
production.

Crane

12F Kessler
crane

- The Kessler Crane Co. is
a leading manufacturer of high quality cranes and jibs for
video productions. The Kessler
Crane™ is made entirely from lightweight, ultra
strong 6061-T6 aluminum alloy that per pound is stronger
than steel and is corrosion resistant.
- Versatility. The
versatility of the original Kessler Crane™ is
unmatched. With the two tip sizes and mid section upgrades
available you can turn a 4 ft base section into a 5.5 ft, 8 ft, 12 ft or 18
ft crane in a matter of minutes.
- Portability. The Kessler
Crane™ breaks down into lightweight easily
transported sections and can be set up and working in less
than 10 minutes.
- Options And Upgrades. Whether
it’s a vertical braking system, 100mm ball receptacle, or a
tool-less assembly upgrade, we have the extras to fit your
filming needs.
- Stability. Stability is
the most important aspect of a camera crane / camera jib
next to fluid movement. With our dual arm design supporting
the camera basket/platform from either side, our stability
is bar none. You will never again deal with those uneven
shots you get from single arm, side mounted, camera
platform style cranes.

Varizoom VZ
MC-100
-
More crane operators
choose VariZoom heads to add on to their cranes / jibs
than any other remote head on the market. Users of the
QuickJib, SnapCrane and other jibs choose the MC100.
The reason is VariZoom's MC100 and MC50 have a tried
and true history around the globe. VariZoom heads are
reliable and we can service them years after the
purchase if they ever need repair as they are made
here in our Austin, TX factory. The MC100 has been the
choice of rental houses around the globe because of
the rugged and reliable design.
-
- A Powerful Tool
- Total remote camera operation becomes possible
with the MC100 system. Whether it is mounted on a jib or
crane, placed on a tripod as a 'robotic cameraman', or in a
fixed location in an auditorium or church, we have
full capability to pan and tilt 360 degrees from the
slowest sustained crawl to the rapid moves needed to follow
the action. No jib is complete without a motorized pan/tilt
head, and the MC100's light weight, universal mounting
base, and intuitive compact control box make it a breeze to
set up and operate on virtually any jib.

Kessler K-Pod
legs with Hercules 2.0 Fluid
Head

The Kessler K-Pod System™ is a
revolutionary tripod system designed to support camera cranes /
jibs. The K-Pod™ has extremely rigid double strut legs with the
patent pending incremental Posi-Lock System™, that friction
locks the legs, as well as interlocks into incremental lock
pockets. The lock pockets allow you to equally position the
legs while providing a lock that can not slip down.
The pop-lock spreader system locks the legs in a
pre-stressed position to eliminate instability in heavy load
conditions, and acts as the frame system for the various dolly
configurations.
The K-Pod™ was designed to be the best tripod system
for video camera crane / jib, but it is also an excellent
tripod to shoot from, when not using the crane.

Glidecam
Smooth Shooter with Glidecam 4000
Pro
The GLIDECAM
SMOOTH SHOOTER is the World's most sophisticated and
affordable body mounted Camera Stabilization System
designed for Cameras weighing up to 6 pounds when used
with the Glidecam 2000 Pro, or for Cameras weighing
from 4 to 10 pounds when used with the Glidecam 4000
Pro. The GLIDECAM SMOOTH SHOOTER system will allow you
to walk, run, go up and down stairs, shoot from moving
vehicles and travel over uneven terrain without any
camera instability or shake.
The SMOOTH SHOOTER system works by isolating your body's
motion from your camera, while your camera is balanced in a
relatively motionless and isolated state. The SMOOTH
SHOOTER'S Support Arm can be boomed up and down, as well as
pivoted in and out, and side-to-side. It is the combined
booming and pivoting action of the Support Arm, which
isolates your motions from the camera in a way that creates
smooth camera
footage.

Shotgun Microphone ECM -
678
Hybrid The Sony
ECM-678 is a short shotgun, electret condenser-type
microphone, which delivers outstanding sound performance
in all field production and broadcast studio applications.
It is also well-suited for use on Sony professional
camcorders such as the HDV Series, DVCAM Series, and XDCAM
Series. The ECM-678 offers excellent sensitivity, low
inherent noise, and extreme durability. Its highly
directional response allows clear voice pick-up even in
the most demanding of environments, while the built-in
low-cut filter switch helps to reduce unwanted pop and
wind noise encountered in the field. With its high
performance and durability, the ECM-678 microphone is the
perfect choice for quality-critical sound-acquisition
applications.
